Name the Green Turtle!

We’re trying to find a name for our female Green Turtle in the display case on Government Avenue. The new turtle name and winner will be announced on Wednesday, 4 May 2016. So rack your brain, and name the turtle!

A bit more about Green Turtles…
Range:Tropical and temperate seas worldwide. One of the places it nests is on the east coast of South Africa.
Species Status:Endangered
Cool Fact:Largest hard-shelled marine turtles, growing up to 1.5m long and weighing 300kg!
Favourite Foods:Sea grass, mangrove roots and leaves.
Did you know:Green Turtles are the only adult marine turtles that feed exclusively on plants. Because they don’t eat toxic plankton, they are the main turtle hunted commercially for human consumption. Their eggs are also harvested from nesting beaches.
