Planetarium shows coming soon

  • Planetarium shows: A Basic Guide to Stargazing starts on 22 June until 20 September, andThe Longest Day starts on 24 June until 12 July.

  • Davy Dragon’s Guide to the Night Skyand Table Mountain both end on 16 June.

Education

  • Iziko celebrates Youth Day with an outreach project in Paarl on Saturday, 15 June. In partnership with the Siyahluma Development Project, the Iziko Mobile Museum will be participating in Hector Petersen Day at Groenheuvel Primary School, Dal Josaphat.
  • On National Women’s Day on 9 August, we celebrate the brave women of our nation by offering free entry (excluding the Castle of Good Hope and Planetarium shows).
  • September is Heritage Month. FREE entry at all our museums during the week surrounding 24 September.

Friends

  • Join the Friends of the Iziko South African National Gallery and go ‘Behind-The-Scenes at the Gallery’ on 20 June. Time: 11:00. Venue: Iziko South African National Gallery. Cost: Members, R50 non-members R75
