- Wood carving workshop, inspired by the exhibition, Against the Grain will be hosted at the Iziko South African National Gallery Annexe, St John’s Street from 10:00-16:00 Woodcarving Workshop: Inspired by the exhibition Against the Grain; Sculptors from the Cape,showcasing the works of South African sculptors, artists Shepherd Mbanya and Thami Kiti host this class. - An oral history workshop will be hosted at the Iziko Bo-Kaap Museum, Wale Street, from 11:00-12:00. What is oral history? What are the strengths and weaknesses of oral history as historical evidence? How do we go about conducting oral history interviews? - A 20-minute Fossil Preparation workshop will be hosted at ISAM. Be guided by our Fossil Preparators in uncovering the 250-million-year-old bones of long extinct reptiles.
